2nd International Conference on Climate Change in the Mediterranean and the Middle East: Challenges and Solutions
In light of the current situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2nd International Conference on Climate Change in the Mediterranean and the Middle East: Challenges & Solutions, originally scheduled for October this year, has been postponed, and will now take place between 13 October and 15 October 2021, in Cyprus.
As we retain our immediate focus on tackling the health and economic emergencies brought by the pandemic, we must not lose sight of the huge challenges caused by climate change. We are continuing the scientific work set out in the framework of the Cyprus Government Initiative for Coordinating Climate Change Actions in the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East (EMME) region, the findings of which will be announced in the context of the Conference.
We aim for the Conference to become a catalyst for boosting coordinated climate action in the region and encouraging necessary mitigation and adaptation steps for a safer, more sustainable future.
We invite you to save these dates in October 2021 so that you can be part of this seminal occasion, and we look forward to welcoming you to Cyprus.
