Successful Conclusion of the 5th Annual Workshop on Innovation in Atmospheric Measurement Techniques

The 5th Annual Online Workshop on Innovation in Atmospheric Measurement techniques, hosted by CARE-C of the Cyprus Institute, took place on Thursday, 12th of June, 2025, as an EU Green Week 2025 Partner Event.

This event gathered members of the atmospheric science community to share and discuss recent developments in atmospheric measurement techniques and modelling, including innovative technologies, products, and services. Participants also had the opportunity to network, enhance local and regional collaborations, and build national capacity to respond to the climate crisis.

The workshop was attended by 270 participants from 52 countries, including researchers and professionals from the atmospheric science field.

Professor Jean Sciare, Director of CARE-C, delivered the opening address, welcoming all attendees and speakers. The event featured 33 (oral and vPICO) presentations from experts across 18 countries, including academics, researchers, and industry professionals engaged in innovation, research, and development related to atmospheric measurement techniques.

Organisers: The workshop was organised by the Climate and Atmosphere Research Center (CARE-C) and three EU RIs working in the Atmospheric Measurements remit, ACTRIS, ICOS and IAGOS, and it was supported by the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East Climate and Atmosphere Research Center (EMME-CARE) Consortium,  and the Edu4Climate and ENVRINNOV  Horizon projects.
