Council of Ministers approved Action Plan for Initiative of President Anastasiades on Climate Change in the Region

The Council of Ministers of The Republic of Cyprus approved, on 22 May 2019, the Action Plan submitted by the Minister of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment, regarding the Initiative by the President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades to tackle #ClimateChange and its impacts in the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East (#EMME).

Following the results of the very successful (over 300 delegates from 35 countries) 2018 Climate Change International Conference, the Cyprus Institute will play a major role in the scientific activities of the Initiative, as its President, Prof. Costas N. Papanicolas, has recently been appointed as Advisor and Special Envoy of President Anastasiades on Climate Change.
