CARE-C’s Nanomicron at Slush 2025
Nanomicron, a spin-off company of CARE-C at the Cyprus Institute, was one of 14 Cypriot startups, led by the Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF), that represented Cyprus at Slush 2025, an annual founder-focused startup event held in Helsinki, Finland, on 19-20 November 2025.
Nanomicron was represented by Anna Margaritova, innovation officer at the Cyprus Institute, who had the opportunity to showcase the cutting-edge research capabilities of the Cyprus Institute (CyI) and represent Nanomicron to investors, industry partners, and startups exploring collaboration in the nanotechnology and deep-tech space.
More than 13,000 participants attended, including 3,500 investors and 6,000 startup founders from around the world, offering a unique platform for networking and promoting innovative ideas.
Nanomicron is a spin-off company of The Cyprus Institute that develops a novel and highly versatile technology, relying on inductive heating, for synthesising tailored nanoparticles for use in nanosciences and nanotechnology. Applications of the nanoparticles produced by our technology include, but are not limited to, sensing, catalysis, and medicine.
