CARE-C at the IRISCC annual meeting

Staff of CARE-C at the Cyprus Institute attended the 2025 IRISCC annual project meeting, held at Marseille, France, on 8-10 October 2025.

The Director of CARE-C, Prof Jean Sciare and the Centre’s Managing Coordinator, Mrs Marina Papageorgiou, attended on behalf of the Cyprus Institute. Over the three days, partners took part in strategy sessions, project workshops, and social networking events. The meeting kicked off with an opening session, followed by parallel working group sessions on demonstrators, interoperability, service design, outreach, and thematic tasks.

Day two featured the General Assembly and a keynote from the Science Advisory Board, as well as a field excursion to site 03HP, offering attendees a chance to see research infrastructure in action. The final day focused on technical and financial reporting, managing project risks, and refining next steps for 2026. The meeting closed with a discussion on upcoming deliverables and coordination plans.

Across meals, social events, and excursions, members from IRISCC and partner organisations had the opportunity to network, align priorities, and reinforce their shared commitment to advancing research infrastructure.
