All three EMME-CARE Advanced Partner PIs recognized amongst the world´s Highly Cited Researchers

Prof Philippe Ciais, Research Director, Laboratoire des Sciences du Climat et de l’Environnement, and Institute Professor, The Cyprus Institute; Prof Markku Kulmala, Academician, University of Helsinki; and Prof Jos Lelieveld, Director of the Max Planck Institute for Chemistry in Mainz, and Institute Professor, The Cyprus Institute, have all been recognized amongst the world’s Highly Cited Researchers.

The EMME-CARE Advanced Partner Principal Investigators (PIs) appear on the 2021 list published in mid-November by the information and technology company Clarivate Analytics on the basis of the publication database “Web of Science”. According to Institute for Scientific Information™ at Clarivate, Highly Cited Researchers™ have demonstrated significant and broad influence reflected in their publication of multiple highly cited papers over the last decade (2011-2020), as they have been widely cited in the scientific community.

The annual list recognizes c. 6,600 researchers, approximately 0.1% of the world’s researchers, across multiple research fields. The list of researchers recognized as “Highly Cited Researchers” are drawn from publications that rank in the top 1% of citations, based on research field and publication year in the Web of Science™.
