Enhancing students’ knowledge on climate change through an interactive quiz

Αs part of the activities of the OptimESM project, Research Scientist George Zittis, along with Research Graduate Fellows Andreas Karpasitis, Maria Gavrouzou, Pinelopi Loizou and Aristotelis Liakakos, participated in the “sCYence Fair” organised by The Cyprus Institute.

The event provided an opportunity for the team to engage students through an interactive quiz designed to test their knowledge of climate change and communicate OptimESM research on future regional climate projections and climate modelling.

Through the activity, young participants were introduced to the work carried out under the OptimESM project on climate modelling and the role of predictive tools in understanding future climate conditions. The researchers also promoted knowledge exchange on climate research, highlighting regional challenges and encouraging participants to think about adaptation measures for a more sustainable and resilient future.
