CARE-C Post-Doctoral Research Fellow Dr. Marios Panagi delivered a presentation during STEM Career Talks at Limassol High School
On the 22nd of April, CARE-C Post-Doctoral Research Fellow Dr. Marios Panagi delivered two presentations to approximately 80 high school students at Apostles Peter and Paul High School in Limassol, as part of their work experience week activities.
The presentations, titled “Where Science Can Take You: From School to Global Careers”, introduced students to opportunities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields. Through real-world examples, including research from the AVENGERS project on air quality, the impact of dust in the Eastern Mediterranean, and the use of satellite observations, students were given an overview of how science is applied beyond the classroom. The sessions also covered study pathways after high school and career opportunities in Cyprus and abroad, while students engaged with questions and discussions throughout.

The AVENGERS project is funded by European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under Grant Agreement No. 101081322.
