MedCLIVAR2026 conference organised by CARE-C in Cyprus: Applications now open!

The MedCLIVAR Network warmly invites you to participate in the 8th MedCLIVAR Conference, taking place from 21 to 25 September 2026. Organised by the Climate and Atmosphere Research Centre (CARE-C) of the Cyprus Institute, the conference will be hosted in Limassol, Cyprus. 

Held every two years, this conference is the main event of the MedCLIVAR Network. It brings together researchers to study the Mediterranean climate from different angles, covering the atmosphere, oceans, and land, and looking at both past climates and future projections.

The conference invites contributions on Mediterranean climate, including both observational studies and computer-based modeling. Topics of interest include climate variability and long-term changes, the processes behind extreme weather and climate events, and the resulting impacts on both society and the environment. Submissions that examine vulnerabilities, resilience, and adaptation strategies in natural and human systems within Mediterranean contexts are particularly encouraged.

The conference will bring together climate experts from across the Mediterranean and beyond to share ideas and knowledge. It will provide a platform to foster collaborations and guide the future of Mediterranean climate research.
