PhD students Fragkeskos Kekkou and Anna Tzyrkalli attend the “From Challenges to Solutions: EU Missions Projects Share Data Success Stories” workshop
On the 11th of February Fragkeskos Kekkou and Anna Tzyrkalli, PhD students at CARE-C, successfully attended the “From Challenges to Solutions: EU Missions Projects Share Data Success Stories” workshop focusing on cross-project learning and data-sharing practices across EU Missions–related projects, particularly those addressing health impacts from different stressors.
The workshop provided a great opportunity for the researchers to engage with other likeminded projects and exchange experiences, challenges, and good practices related to data management, interoperability, and reuse. The main outcome was the shared recognition that progress in climate–health research within EU Missions is not constrained by statistical methods or technical expertise. It is tied by the need for better coordination to improve health data accessibility, harmonization, and governance, as well as open tools, validated workflows, and dedicated resources for cross-project collaboration.
This workshop opportunity was provided under the ISMED-CLIM Horizon project which aims to engage and mobilise regional stakeholders across the Mediterranean, in implementing a wide array of adaptation solutions to mitigate the health effects of climate change.
The project is funded from the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under Grant Agreement No 101156653.
