CARE-C at the 4th Teaming Club Conference
Members of the CARE-C management team of the Cyprus Institute took part in the 4th Teaming Club conference, held in Porto, Portugal on 15-17 October 2025.
The Centre’s Scientific Coordinator, Mrs Andri Charalambous, and Managing Coordinator, Mrs Marina Papageorgiou, participated in the conference, which included representatives from 50 successful teaming projects across Europe.
The overarching theme, “Delivering effective strategies for long-term sustainability”, addressed the major challenge of ensuring the continued success of Teaming Centres after EU funding ends. Discussions focused on sustaining research infrastructures, attracting international talent, and demonstrating research impact. The conference was also attended by high-level stakeholders, including European Commission officials and representatives from national governments and key institutions.
The Teaming Club Conference is an important annual event that brings together nearly 50 European Centres of Excellence established through the Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe “Teaming for Excellence” programmes. It served as a key platform for exchanging knowledge, sharing experiences, and building collaborations among project representatives.
